St. Mary’s County Public Schools is purchasing new Spanish textbooks for the first time in 16 years. The county is buying ¡Qué chévere!, EMC’s new, 5-level Spanish program. The district’s purchase gives students access to the ¡Qué chévere! eBook and a variety of online resources to enhance their learning. The county is making strides towards integrating technology into the classroom, and EMC’s products will help them do it.

Board members expressed their excitement for this new advance in learning, “Student School Board Member Sarita Lee said she was especially excited about the online resources and Board Vice President Rita Weaver agreed. Board member Cathy Allen said she liked the “blended learning” opportunities with the print and online editions.” (Via The Bay Net).
